I have oh so much to be thankful for today! God is faithful! God is awesome! God answers prayer in ways you never expect, but He's God, and He always knows best. Funny how it always works out for the best when you step back and ask God to take control.
Our Pastor taught last night on putting God in a box. It was a perfect message for me. I have had a couple of major prayers answered the last few months. I had my ideas of the best way for God to answer those prayers. Ok, maybe it wasn't the best way, but it was the only way I could see in my limited little world. But I forget that God is NOT little. Things that seem impossible to me are quite possible with God.
That being said, here's just a small list of what I'm thankful for today:
I'm thankful for my family. The devil tries to tear families apart, but God knew what he was doing when He put Rob & I together almost 28 years ago, and it's His intention for us to stay together forever!!!!
I'm thankful that God has promised that He will bring Bobby back to salvation. It's our daily prayer, and God is faithful. I know lots of kids have to go out there and learn lessons the hard way before they realize how great God is. We just want to set a good example for him and love him back to God!!
I'm thankful God is teaching us how to be a loving, caring couple who puts God first in our marriage. The books we have read (and are reading) along with prayer and obedience to God's commands have totally changed our lives. We want to set a good example for Sarah & Bobby of how a husband is supposed to treat the woman he loves the most, and how a woman should love and respect her husband with her whole heart. This is God's plan for marriage, and trust me, when you put that plan into place, God blesses beyond measure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thankful for my family! My mom and Dad are always there to help, and we've needed them many, many times these past years. They were always there for Sarah's many hospital stays, and Mom has gone with me to almost all of Sarah's Drs. appointments. We never could have made it without their help, and Rob and I are both so grateful for their unconditional love!!!
I'm thankful for so much!! I feel so blessed to be where I am today. God has truly given me so much more than I deserve, and I want to serve Him and give my best to Him, because He gave everything He had for me.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
