Selling on eBay

For everybody who has been asking about how to sell on eBay, I’m going to tell you how I learned. BECAUSE, if I try to teach each person individually, it would take tons of time, and unfortunately, I just don’t have that kind of time these days.

The first thing you need to do is to set up a PayPal account if you don’t already have one. I didn’t set mine up, Rob did years ago, so I really don’t know how to do that part. Just go to PayPal.com and follow the instructions. You must have PayPal to sell on eBay now, that’s the only form of payment they “officially” let you accept.

Next you need to set up an account with eBay. Once again, Rob did this years ago, so I’m in the dark again, but it can’t be hard. Just go to eBay.com, click Register, and fill in the information. You’ll create a user ID and a password. My advice: make it simple and short, something easy to remember.

Once you’ve set up an account, you can click on “Sell” at the top and post your item. There are so many things that vary from person to person, and when you first start selling, it can take FOREVER to get something listed. You have to have a digital camera. You have to know how to use your picture program. It helps if you crop your pictures to make them look nicer. These programs are all different, and I only know how to use mine, so I can’t help you there……see why it’s impossible for me to show everybody how to do this????

You also have to have a postal scale to weigh your items so you can figure out shipping costs.

You have to have something to ship your item in. The post office provides free Priority Mail shipping boxes for bigger items. For small items under 13 ounces, you have to provide your own package. I ship all my smaller items in polybags that I buy on eBay.

You also have to have bubble wrap or packing peanuts if you’re selling something fragile. You have to pack VERY well, because you will be held responsible if your item arrives broken!!

Here’s what I did, and what I suggest you do:

Go to the library and check out all the books you can find on selling on eBay! You can also go straight to the eBay site, and they have tons of tutorials that walk you through every process, but it helps to have a book right in front of you.

Get a notebook and make sections like: Listing, Shipping, Fees, etc. Write all the important stuff in the correct section, because you’ll need to refer to it over and over until you get it memorized.

It helps if you buy a few things on eBay before you sell, as a lot of people won’t buy from people with a 0 feedback score. So, buying a few things and getting good feedback will help you sell your items better.

You’ll have to read about what to do as you go along. Every different item you sell will be set up differently, and you just have to look at other peoples auctions for the same thing and figure it out.

I guess what I’m trying to say is this: It took me a good 6 months to read everything and figure out everything about selling, and I’m still learning. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, eBay goes and changes the rules (they do that often), and you have to learn something new.

There’s really no way to sit down and show somebody how to sell in just a couple of hours. There’s too much to it. If you want to sell, you’ve got to make that commitment to teach yourself because you will be learning new stuff constantly.

My next suggestion: If you don’t have the time to commit to learning eBay, just put it on Craigslist. It’s much easier for the casual seller, there are no fees, and you do have to worry about shipping it!

I sell all of my bigger items on Craigslist. On eBay you have to pack it up just like it will be shipped, weigh it and figure out the shipping method. That’s why I only like to sell clothes on eBay!!!

Sorry I haven’t been much help, but it’s really something you have to figure out on your own. I could help you get one item on eBay, but the next one will be completely different, and if you didn’t do it yourself, you’d be completely lost all over again.

I also bought an eBook from somebody who was a proven seller on eBay, and used her tips and ideas to grow my business.

The last thing you need to know is that eBay takes a LOT of time and effort and storage space. You can spend 12-14 hours a day trying to get everything done. There is all the listing, getting the packages ready for shipping, and you have to deal with a lot of people (some of who will be dishonest and try to get something for nothing!!)

You need to have LOTS of room for storing your items, and have to be able to get to those items right away. The downside for me is that my whole house looks like a warehouse, there is inventory in the living room, dining room, bedroom, Sarah’s room, AND out in the shed and up in the attic!!!!!

You really, really have to love it to deal with it long term. Selling casually means you can put things up for auction when you want to. Having a store means you HAVE to maintain it EVERY day, no matter if you’re sick, on vacation, etc. You will always have something that needs to be done.

For me, it’s really the only option because I have a hard time taking time off a “real” job when Sarah goes in the hospital or has an extended illness. But, a real job is a lot less work, and when it’s time to go home, you can leave it until the next day. Just something to think about….

Yep, It's Monday again!

For Today:

Outside My Window: The clouds are shining and it looks cold. It's 11:30, thought it would be brighter and warmer by now??!!

I am thinking: I'm not really happy about this UTI I've got going on this morning. My mom is off this week, and I had plans to get sooo much done in addition to doing her job, but so far that ain't happened!!! Just hoping I can stay up long enough to get Bobby's clothes washed and do what I'm supposed to be doing for Sarah, but she doesn't feel good either, so neither one of us is moving this morning.......

I am thankful for: The extra medicine I have hanging around, so I don't have to make a trip to the Doctor today!! I'm also thankful for the wonderful time we had yesterday. We went to Gloucester Point Beach and walked around. From there you could see Yorktown on the other side of the York River, and the neat sailboat "The Schooner Alliance". We decided to cross the bridge and see what was going on there. It was beautiful. People were sunbathing! CRAZY!!! We decided they must be from up North, and this was WARM to them! We walked around and ate at the Beach "Delly". It was great, had a great view of the River from our table! Then we went home, worked a little (VERY little), ate dinner with Mom and Dad, then went by the little beach by our campground to take pictures of the Sunset. It was a perfect day!! (Pictures below, of course!!)

From the Kitchen: Ugh, the thought of food right now makes me queasy.

I am hoping: That Bobby doesn't come home with the motorcycle, dirt bike, whatever it is that he is supposed to be buying after work today!! That we start feeling better around here! That my hubby doesn't get too bogged down with all the extra work he has this week!

I am reading: The same, but bought 2 new books at yard sales Saturday. One is "Becoming the Woman of His Dreams", hmmmm!! Might read that on my sickbed today!!!!!!!!

I am creating: Chaos. Usually trying to control chaos, but it has taken over today. And will be that way all week probably, until Mommy comes back!

I am praying: For healing for us girls. For comfort for Dreama and her family in the loss of Gus, her brother. For Dreama to get her car fixed after hitting the deer (ahummm, the SECOND deer she's hit, but this one she confessed to right away, lol!!!). She's been the family taxi for a while now, and I hate that her car got messed up!!

Ok, ok... I gotta tell ya the Dreama hit the deer story: When we were teenagers, I let her drive my Mom's car on Reformatory Road without a license and she HIT A DEER! Can you believe that??? She would do that to me???? So we traded places real quick and I drove home, and for years, everybody thought I hit the deer. We didn't come clean till years after we were married!!!! Lord, forgive us, but we thought we would go to jail or worse, get killed by my Dad, if we told the truth :-D

I am hearing: The washing machine running. That's all. Bobby just left for work, Sarah just called me in to tell me she doesn't feel like getting up (which means I won't be working with her today).

One of my favorite things: The three hoodie sweatshirts I got at yard sales this weekend. I love the girly girl colors (light pink, neon pink, and lime green), 2 of them say Washington DC, and one says VA Beach. They all look brand new, and they're perfect for the river, where it gets COLD!! Oh yea, and the beautiful crystal vase we bought at the yard sale that has hearts on it. Can't wait to see what flowers look like in it honey, lol!!!! (Not a hint, I still have the last flowers you brought!!)

Around the house: Let's not go there!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Working for my Momma this week, taking Sarah to Wal-Mart tomorrow, maybe to get her hair done Thursday, eBay and housework, and back to the River Friday or Saturday.

Marriage Enrichment idea: We read this in our devotional last night, and I think I've mentioned it before, but it's worth a second thought: Don't let your spouse have to say: "I wish you were as nice to me as you are to the strangers you talk to everyday". Why is it that we feel we can treat our family members with less respect than we do a stranger? Who is more important? Who is going to be there for you no matter what? It won't be a stranger. Treat your family with the same kindness you would bestow on your most honored guest! They deserve it, and they're worth it!!!!!

Here is the picture I am sharing: Pics from this weekend!!

Things that make you go hmmmmm! This is a handicapped parking sign at Sarah's school. I never noticed it till she pointed it out. Am I really supposed to jump the curb and park in the grass? Just asking?

Thankful Thursday

Good Morning World! Today is a great day. It's a day to count your blessings and name them one by one. Ok, that might take a FEW days, so let's just name a couple for now, lol!!

First, I'm always thankful for my wonderful husband. That man brought me and Sarah flowers AGAIN yesterday! Fall flowers this time! He's so awesome.

I'm thankful for the work he got done the two days he took off this week. It's starting to look like a totally different house! Still looking for that delivery of sand for the front yard so I can officially call it my beach house, lol!!

I'm thankful for the man at the post office who told me I could mail jeans First Class International. All this time I've been going by what somebody else there told me, and thought they were too big to ship that way. I'm hoping sales will increase even more now, but I'm still waiting. Thank the Lord for 5 International sales so far this week and 5 last week, but none of them were jeans. Oh well, in time....

I'm thankful that my sales have increased over all recently. I think I finally have my listings looking professional enough to compete with other jean sellers, and I've been doing VERY well the last 3 weeks. Praise the Lord!!!!!

I'm thankful for Mitzi's new bed I made her. She would NOT stay off of my jeans, so I had to cover them with bubble wrap or anything she can't lay on.
I wanted to buy her a bed so bad, but Rob and Bobby both argued that she would NOT use it. She had one years ago, and wouldn't use it. She likes clothes or boxes with clothes in them, lol!! I finally took a Post Office Mailing Box and put a towel in it. That crazy cat has barely left it since. It's not pretty, a rather ugly eyesore in the living room, but hey.....SHE LOVES IT!!!!
I thank the Lord for my wonderful Mom and Dad, who celebrated their 48th Anniversary yesterday. I LOVE you guys!!! And for Robs grandpa, the "original" Robert Earl Jeffreys Sr., who turned 91 on Tuesday. May they all have many celebrations to come :-D

I thank the Lord for all the wonderful friends and family that keep popping up on Facebook! What an awesome way to connect with family you haven't seen in ages (or in some cases, ever)!! I love keeping up with cousin Crystal (one day we will meet!!!) and her baby news, Congrats on finding out it's a boy!!! And Kim and her wedding plans: very exciting! Talking to Leslie and Doug more often than when we HAPPEN to get to Pennsylvania at the same time, lol!! And I talk to my brother more now than I did when he lived here, that's crazy!!! But it's an awesome site, and I thank God for it!!!

I'm thankful for my Church, and what God is doing through our new leadership. People are excited about the changes, and we are growing. Our new youth leader Carl has already increased attendance of the youth, and they LOVE him, but who doesn't? He's been our "baby" since he was little, and I'm so excited that he's grown into the awesome young man he is today. God sent him back to us just when we needed him!!

I'm thankful for my children! They are the light of my life. They keep me sane, or insane....I can't decide. All I know is I would be lost without them. It makes me tear up just thinking about how much joy they've brought to my life! When Sarah was born, God used her to show us how to live outside the box! Nothing would be cookie cutter perfect when it came to taking care of her. We learned to take whatever we had and make it work for our circumstances. I never would have even considered what it was like to raise a disabled child had she not been born. God has taught us compassion for others through her life! Sarah is Daddy's girl, but I forgive her for that, lol!!!! She has been the bright spot in a lot of lives through her years, and God has blessed her with good health inspite of her disability! We have seen lots of SB kids with much more severe problems than her, and we feel fortunate!

Then came Bobby! I know he won't admit it, but he was (is) a Mommy's boy! Sarah is outgoing and never meets a stranger, just like Rob. Bobby is shy and reserved, just like me. To this day, if Bobby wants to order a pizza, he makes me call. He's not one to talk much...unless he is excited about a possible new truck or toy purchase....then he can really get the gums going! He's such a great kid, and I thank God that he has grown into the responsible young man that he is today! Watching him grow up is bittersweet. I'm so excited about what his future holds, but wish I could sometimes rock my baby boy to sleep again. They grow up way too fast!!!!!

Oh, can you tell....I LOVE my chillens!!

Enough now, I have a million things to do. Just had to take a minute to be thankful for the blessings in my life! Won't you do the same today? Have a great one :-D

Uh Oh, It's Monday!

I dedicate my bog today to Sarah and Donnie! Goodness, I can't even take a day off without getting into trouble, lol! I hope you're not disappointed :-)

Well, today is Monday, but it really doesn't feel like it. We decided to take a last minute overnight trip to the river, and while we had a great time (Rob did hardly any work this trip!), we didn't make it to Church, and I didn't get the 100 yard sale items I bought put away. So I feel a little lost and overwhelmed this morning. I have a mountain of STUFF staring me in the face, and I have to get this blog out before Sarah strangles me!!!!

Before I do "For Today", I have to give props to some of my favorite family folk who made it to the newspapers this week! First there is my cousin Jack. He's the fella who aggravates the daylights out of me and Sarah just to get us going! I LOVE LOVE LOVE him, he's like my big brother! He's pretty old, hahahaha, well older than me anyway! The wedding will take place Jan. 23 in Newsoms.

I can't believe little Kimmy is old enough to get married, but like I said, her dad is pretty old!!! (Ha Jack, you can't get me back because you WON"T get a Facebook page! What's wrong with you, EVERYBODY in your family has a Facebook page!!!! We're all waiting......)

Anyhoo, I love that little family! Can't wait for the wedding, but hoping I'll get to meet Clayton before then, like at my house for Christmas??????? Will you be there Clayton?????

Ok, here's one little tip for you dog owners: if you use ProMeris flea treatment, you might not want to put it on them right before bed. Some bright person in our house did that last night (yea, it was me) and since Rebs sleeps under my bed, he took my breath away all night! Man, that stuff stinks! Even Sarah wanted to know what stunk up the whole house!!! Rebs must hate it too, cause Bobby helped hold him while I put it on, then he WOULD NOT have anything to do with either of us after that. Usually we call his name and he comes running, tail wagging. But he wouldn't even look at us after that!!!! He sat with his face toward the fireplace and wouldn't budge when we called him. Who knew dogs could act like Sarah? (Oh Lordy, I'll pay for that one!!)

For Today:

Outside My Window: Well, well, well....It's almost light out. I sent my hubby off to work at 5:45, and here he comes walking back in the door at 7:05. He took the day off to work on the house. YAYYYYYYY :-)

I am thinking: I love the early morning talks I have with my brother on Facebook! Since we both eBay, we talk about our strategies and successes (and failures). But we love to talk about the crazy people you encounter on there too. It definately takes all kinds.....

I am thankful for: The 35 eBay sales I had last week! That's a record for me. About 5 sales a day! NOT BAD :-D Praise the Lord!!!!!! And I just made my first sale of this week at 7:10 in the morning, hope that's a good sign for the coming week!!!!

From the Kitchen: Chicken & Dumplings

I am hoping: To sell most of the costumes I put on auction this week, to get Rebs to the Vet for his Rabies shot (been trying to get that done for a month), to get this house cleaned up a little, hmmm...the list goes on and on.

I am reading: The same: Through the Bible in a Year, Nightline Devotions for couples. Every now and then Rob reads me some of the book he's reading: The Man in the Mirror.

I am creating: You should know by now, I'll give you one guess: yep, another eBay strategy. And it seems to be working, so I'll stick with this one for a while :-p

I am praying: For God to direct our path and keep us in the center of His will. We have our own agendas sometimes, and have to stop and ask: is this what YOU would have us do Lord?

I am hearing: Mitzi taking her bath in the living room floor, and Rob rustling papers in the bedroom. He's doing a few bills until the sun comes up, his favorite activity....NOT!

One of my favorite things: My new mannequin Brownie!!! I got her at a yard sale Saturday! I have an old mannequin that has my Mommy's wedding dress on it in my bedroom. I tried to use it for eBay, but it's so old, and so is her dress (sorry Mom!), and it was too much stress on both of them to take the dress on and off when I wanted to use it. I also have torso mannequins, but sometimes you just need a full length one. And she's brown, so she shows off lighter clothes much better than a flesh colored one!

Around the house: Lots to do. Boy oh boy, Mom's gonna love coming here today. She'll probably threaten not to come back like she usually does when this place is a mess!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Take Rebs to the vet, eBay, taking Sarah to work, CLEAN, who knows what else will pop up????

Marriage Enrichment idea: Husband, nurture and cherish your wife.. Do not be distant. Do not refuse to communicate. Do not plunk yourself down in front of the television for hours on end without being with her. She needs you to talk to her.

Wife, pray for your husband. God has placed an awesome responsibility upon your husband to be provider and protector. Sometimes it can be downright overwhelming for him. Acknowledge & praise his efforts. Pray for him.

Here is the picture I am sharing: It's Brownie of course!

And Rob putting in the Dining Room window!

I wasn't counting on all the sheetrock dust that covered everything in the

Dining Room and Living Room though!!!!

Well, I think I'm done for today. Hope you have a great Monday! And hey, if you're not busy, come on over and clean my house, will ya?

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strenthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patientce and lonsuffering with JOYFULLNESS. Colossians 1:10-11

Beautiful Monday!

For Today:

Outside My Window: It's still dark....and very quiet.

I am thinking: I love this time of morning, and really don't want Rob's work schedule to change. They might go to 12 hour shifts and start later. That means he wouldn't get home till after 7 every night probably. Yuk!!! But, we'll deal with whatever comes as long as he has a job, I shouldn't complain!

I am thankful for: The wonderful services at Church yesterday. The fun I had with Rob this weekend. Friday we just ran errands and shopped all day, and had a little date at El Napol before going to Ollies, one of our favorite stores!!!! Rob did drag around that 55 pound heater for me until I found a place cheap enough to ship it. He's so sweet, he never complained!! Saturday we went to yard sales, then came home and worked around the house. Rob just amazes me with his talent to fix anything he sets his mind to. We wanted a yard light pole to match our new outside lights. They didn't make one that matched, so he bought another fancy light pole set, took the lights off of it, and is making our own! Now that's awesome. Who would think to do such a thing? My hubby, that's who!!!!!!

I'm also thankful for the new mailbox we found a Ollies. It's copper and HUGE!!! Great for eBay shipments! Well, wouldn't work for all the shipments I have today (Praise God for em!!!), but I could get 5-6 pairs of jeans in there easy!!!!!!!

From the Kitchen: Something in the Crock-Pot. Gotta go to the garage and see what I have. I hope to make cupcakes today, but I have to work work work, so don't hold me to that family!!!!!

I am hoping: To get this bucket of winter clothes listed in the next couple of days, so I can go back to JUST jeans!!!!

I am reading: NightLine Devotions for couples, Through the Bible in a Year, that's all today.

I am creating: A strategy for balancing eBay work and housework with family & hubby time!

I am praying: For a special family who's struggling with several issues right now.

I am hearing: Me sipping coffee, otherwise....ahhh, SILENCE

One of my favorite things: My new mailbox of course. Yep, i get excited over a mailbox. It's beautiful!!!!!!

Around the house: Things are still pretty clean because most of my buckets on inventory are still outside. Laundry is caught up, dishes are caught up (well, there ARE clean dishes in the dishwasher, but Mommy will take care of that when she gets here). She's sooo good to me!!!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Take Rebs to the vet one day, can't do it by myself so I have to see when Bobby is off. Could that be it? No other plans for the week? Yay, maybe things will be easy this week!!

Marriage Enrichment idea: 12 ways to improve your marriage:

  • Be honest, but in a loving way.

The blog button at the top of this page! Every time something crazy happens, my family says "You're not gonna put that in your blog are you?" Haha, everybody is afraid of making the blog!!!!!!!!

Rob working on the Camper! (Yea, I was vegging on the sofa and snapping pictures out the window while he was hard at work!)

And this picture just cracks me up! When Sarah used to wear leg braces, PaPa Jr. would walk her around the house. Her favorite thing back then: Going to the bathroom and "Pretending" to throw up! She's ALWAYS been CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my Sarah!!!!!

Have a great week everybody! Remember, do something nice for somebody in need! YOU will be blessed :-D

    Are you Thankful???

Woohoo, it's Thankful Thursday!! Where do I start?

I'm so thankful that everybody seems to be on the mend in this house! Sarah's cold is gone, Rob's is too I think, Bobby's cold is getting there, and mine never got the best of me, Praise the Lord!!!! Sarah's pressure sore is looking much better, I just pray that this bleach solution we're using doesn't start eating away at the good parts! I'm a little leary about putting bleach into my baby girls innards, that's just bizarre!! But hey, if it works, I'm good with bizarre :-)

I'm thankful for the flowers Rob gave me last week, that still look so pretty, they just smell like diarrhea. I've changed the water and even put bleach in it (hey, if it's good for Sarah...), but they still smell.

I'm thankful for the beautiful card my hubby left me this morning that says I have the key to his heart. You are so romantical Rob, I love you so much & I'm so glad you're mine too!!!!!

Gag, Puke, Gross....ok, enough talk about my man. Let me just tell him real quick, since he reads this at work: Guess what Babe, I'm up to Song of Soloman in the
through the Bible a year now!! Read THAT with your spouse people, it's an awesome love story ;-)

I'm thankful for the heater I sold for
$200 on eBay. Now, if I could get it shipped, I'd be doing great! Got 3 more to go, hope to get rid of them soon. They take up too much room in the garage! I'm thankful for Bobby who helped us get the heaters at such a huge discount. That's the good thing about my boy working at Wal-Mart, lol!!!!!

I'm thankful that Amanda and Stephen are coming over for dinner tonight. Can't wait to get to know him better! We're so thankful for his service to our country and happy he's back home safe and sound and able to enjoy some Lasagna. He's been wanting it so bad, I just hope he likes mine. That would be messed up if he didn't, haha!

I'm thankful for my Mommy, who helped me move tons of buckets and suitcases out of the house yesterday, so things won't look toooooo bad for my company tonight. There's still plenty of them left in here. My bigger buckets have 100 pairs of jeans each in them. They're a LITTLE too heavy to move around!!!!

I'm thankful for the time I got to spend with Dreama at Shoney's Tuesday. We don't see each other often enough, so when we do get together, look out! I don't think the waitresses like the fact that we sit there for hours just talking, but.....

I'm thankful for the girl at Shoney's who gave me two bags of coffee when I told her how much Rob liked their coffee. She also ordered me some bigger bags. That was VERY nice. Can't remember her name, but she was a great waitress!! I'm enjoying that Old Mansion coffee right now, yummy!!

I'm so thankful that the Lord has restored my health and I'm able to do everything that I do these days. God is faithful in the little AND big things, and he proves it more every day! I want to serve Him with everything I have within me. He's blessed me in so many way that I could never repay, but I can pass on the good news that Jesus heals...bodies, hearts, minds, whatever hurts so bad you think you think there's no hope....God can and will restore!!! I'm living proof :-D (Hold on while I do my little Happy Glory Shoutin dance right here in the living room)

Well, I better go for now. I have a delicious little Angel Food and Fruit Trifle to make for tonight, and some laundry to do. I'll do it with a song in my heart and praise on my lips, cause that's how I roll (today anyway, lol) since I'm feeling very Thankful on this Thankful Thursday!!

Be Blessed! Share a smile with somebody today why don't cha?

Blessed be the Lord, for He has shown me his marvelous kindness....Psalms 31:21

    I'm blessed!

    For Today:

Outside My Window: There's a gorgeous pink and yellow sunrise! Wish I could see it from my living room window every morning instead of having to go outside to view!!

I am thinking: I am blessed, and happy, and content.

I am thankful for: A lot of time this weekend to catch up on housework. No eBay all weekend except for yard sales Saturday morning, and buying something special on there for my Daddy and Rob!! A great cupcake date with my hubby last night. Who says dates have to be expensive? A little Food Lion, a little cupcake, a little laughter, and lot of love and affection! It's all good :-)

From the Kitchen: Don't really know yet, but something good that makes leftovers. Rob's working 12 hours all week, and I need a good substantial lunch for my man!

I am hoping: God knows what I'm hoping, even if I can't talk about it. But God is faithful, and I have lots of faith, and it's gonna be alright!

I am reading: Same great devotionals and through the Bible in a year. Now it talks to me, so I can listen instead of read. That's kinda cool, but a little distracting.

I am creating: Surprise, another eBay strategy. No work at all on the weekends. It worked out pretty good this weekend. I need that time for housework and time with my hubby! And, my mommy will be happy she doesn't have so much laundry to do on Monday mornings!!!!!

I am praying: For Bobby to find a job with insurance. For our Church. For Sarah to be healed and able to go back to work. For Rob to have strength this week working 12 hour days.

I am hearing: Nothing. Bobby just went back to bed after going outside to see Katybug. Everything is sooo quiet except for the occasional car going down the street.

One of my favorite things: The flowers Rob brought me last week! I finally got the dining room table cleaned off, and they still look so pretty sitting there!

Around the house: Well, gotta finish cleaning. The kitchen and dining room are great. The den is full of suitcases that need to be listed, but I think I'll take them out and bring in one at a time until I get them done. Yes, I've used up every storage container I have, and have moved on the the two sets of luggage that were up in the attic! Sooooo, there are 5 suitcases full of stuff in here!!!! The living room was free of containers for about a day. Then I started filling it back up. It's the only place I have to put the great big containers of jeans!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Wal-Mart this morning. Shoney's with Dreama one day I hope. Amanda and Stephen are coming over Thursday for Lasagne! That's about all right now.

Marriage Enrichment idea: Purpose for one week to do something nice and unexpected for your spouse every day. A kind and encouraging word, and chore without asking, bring her flowers or give him a backrub. Try turning off the TV and spend at least 20 minutes a day of uninterupted time with your spouse. At breakfast, after dinner, before bedtime, whenever you can work it in. But it takes commitment, everybody is so busy these days. I thank God that we don't watch a lot of TV anymore. When you go to bed at 8:30, there's not a lot of time to watch anyway, lol!! But think about this, is my favorite show more important that nurturing my relationship with my spouse? I hope you didn't answer yes to that question!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the picture I am sharing: My kitty Mitzi! She's hilarious. Anybody who's ever been to my house knows that you can't pet Mitzi. She just won't allow it. Well, expect for Katybugs brother DJ. For some reason, she just loves him and he can do what nobody else has ever been able to!! BUT.... put a cat brush in your hand and she's all yours! She LOVES to be brushed. She'll come to anybody as long as you have her brush, but put it down and she's outta there!!!
She loves her brush so much that she brushes herself all the time. Here she is, that crazy
    , self-grooming cat, lol!!!!
